In The Hour has generated their sound from several different groups from several different genres of music. The change of guitarists significantly changed the direction of the band. With the addition of Charles "Chuckles" Closson, In The Hour has combined contemporary rock and experimental metal with a twist of acoustic melodies. Each of the members has a favorite group that helps to form their style of musicianship. DJ is said to use some of the vuluptuos phrasing as used by Pete Townsend of The Who. Charles has a style unique to himself. But in practice, he always brings in acoustic fiddle-faddle of which he attempts to impress. We are then reminded of the sounds of Alkaline Trio.
