Windjammers Jazz Orchestra
Performing Friday, August 15th on the Main Stage at 6-7:30pm

The “Windjammers Jazz Orchestra” is available as an 18-piece big band or as a 12, 10, or 8-piece band for the smaller venue. They all have the varied program to fit any occasion. This can be as feature entertainment of big band styles for parties, festivals, ballroom dancing, or an entire swing dance program. Our dance instructor, Tanya Smith, is available to teach a class lesson prior to the band’s performance as well as conduct a mixer during any of our breaks, a great part of our program that gets the audience involved.
We also feature “special” guest celebrities (members of the band). Close your eyes and you can’t tell if it is Louis Prima or our own Mick Domenick singing “Just a Gigolo.”. Jim Donaldson and Rob Carlson become the Blues Brothers and sing and dance their crowd-pleasing “Gimme Some Lovin’” and “Sweet Home, Chicago.” We assemble a conga line from your guests and bring the room alive as Rob Carlson appears as our South of the Border trumpet virtuoso playing “Cherry Pink.”
Whether you are dining or dancing, you can look forward to listening to Denver’s finest vocalists and entertainers. We feature the sweet and smooth as satin vocal styling of Wendy Vernon or the rich crooning sound of the Sinatra like voice of Danny Wein. Charles King is a versatile artist singing the hits of Bobby Darin, Michael Buble, and even Dean Martin as part of the entertainment show featuring Danny Wein. By special arrangement we feature Charles on our blockbuster Elvis set. He is an Elvis look alike, sound alike and will dazzle your event. Charles King was voted among the top ten Elvis impersonators nationally. Bring the dynamic Demarcio as Sammy Davis Jr. to the mix and delight your guests with Denver’s only version of the original Rat Pack.
We will bring the dance floor alive with our own DJ lighting system and our own DJ will spin your favorite Rock-n-Roll, Country, Pop or Disco during our breaks and mixed into our sets. The party never stops.
